Rob and Bintou are missionaries serving in southern Gabon at Bongolo Hospital, a ministry of the Christian and Missionary Alliance church of Gabon. Bongolo Hospital actively seeks to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of all those who come.  Bongolo Hospital  is also a training hospital with three programs for Africans medical doctors: PAACS, Opthamology and the nurse training school.

Rob and Bintou work with Wycliffe, an organization that partners with communities and churches for Bible translation and literacy. Roughly 1/3 of the remaining languages with no portion of the Bible are found in central Africa. Rob is the pilot for Aviation Medicale de Bongolo, the aviation program of Bongolo that supports the hospital through transportation of staff, visiting doctors and medical evacuations.

Bintou is Cameroonian and a medical doctor. She is currently in residency training at Bongolo Hospital in the Ophthalmology training program. This training and ministry gives her many opportunities to share the gospel.

Since arriving to Gabon, Rob and Bintou have  had the opportunity to facilitate the distribution of the Jesus film and the New Testament in several local languages on DVD and SD memory cards.  Although Gabon’s population is relatively small at 1.5 million, it has roughly 40 languages. And now God is moving in Gabon. Project KIWOYETI has launched for the translation of the book of Luke among eight languages of Gabon!

Rob and Bintou are also one of the main founders of the Scripture Through Music Ministry. It is a worship leader training that focuses on teaching Biblical truths as our main source of inspiration to worship. Started in Cameroon with less than 10 people, the ministry is spreading in other countries of Africa. And is involving more than two hundreds (200)  people now. Rob and Bintou have trained many generations in Cameroon and Gabon who have grown up and are now influential youth church leaders in their country.

Rob and Bintou are the proud parents of a miracle baby who came to the world unexpectedly and is defying all the odds! To hear more about that story of God’s faithfulness, check out this newsletter or this blog.
