Another aspect of Rob and Bintou’s involvement in Bible translation is the “Scripture through Music Ministry.” This ministry was birthed by Bintou’s family in Cameroon from a desire to preach the Gospel to friends. When Rob and Bintou moved to Gabon, they saw the huge need of incorporating biblical truth in worship services in churches.

It has now been ten years that the “Bible through Music Ministry’ is impacting lives of both young and older people who attend classes. Rob’s experience in Bible Translation has helped in re-organizing the resources, the functioning and the focus of the ministry.

The main core of the ministry is to provide solid Bible teaching for African worship leaders and other christian called to Worship Ministry  in Africa.
People need to see their own lives transformed before they can be used to transform other lives! In both Cameroon and Gabon, there are many false teachings and theologies that are invading and spreading among churches.  The transformation happening in the lives of those who attend their  training is evident.

Recognizing the importance of Bible teaching for worship leaders, choir members and musicians, a church in Cameroon and one in Gabon has accepted to support this worship leader training. Rob and Bintou Peterson are currently working with about two-hundred people in Cameroon and Gabon. The involvement of the churches has helped enormously in reducing the load they were carrying.  It is a huge blessing and a great answer to prayer!
